Katrina’s 24/25 season includes performances of “Considering Matthew Shepard” with Conspirare; composing and performing music for dance for Early Era Collective’s Rising from the Roots; a debut album recording, The Fire in Her Eyes concerts, a SXSW appearance, and Victoria Bach Festival concert with VAMP; multiple concerts with Inversion Ensemble and Panoramic Voices; writing poetry for an art song being premiered at Central Texas SongSlam; conducting professional treble choir Da Capo’s Hear Me Roar concerts; acting in the new play MotherTree produced by The Vortex; composition commissions, a debut concert and a Here Be Monsters performance with Tatsulok; an all-Filipino music recital for One World, One Music with pianist Benjamin Dia; and finally Studio A’s Pride Recital.
Throughout last season, Katrina performed multiple times with VAMP for concerts at KMFA Classical 89.5’s Offbeat Series, Austin Community College, Austin Classical Guitar, and Here Be Monsters; multiple times with Inversion Ensemble and Da Capo as singer and conductor. In June, she joined fellow Austin-based artists for a Pride recital in Studio A in June. Finally, the season concluded with Katrina singing excerpts of Klara: Opera in Four Haikus for a soirée at Opera Hispánica in San Antonio, TX.
